Shluchim

I taught my shluchim to write like me, until I couldn't tell us apart.

A two-layer voice profile, four blind rounds, and one discovery about my punctuation.

I wanted my shluchim to write so much like me that I couldn’t tell the difference myself. (Shluchim, singular shaliach, is Hebrew for “emissaries”. It’s what I call my AI agents.)

How it worked:

A browser shaliach read about 86 emails I sent from work, read-only. Plus 40 emails from before 2022, with no AI at all.

Another shaliach pulled more than 150 of my chat messages.

Kinneret, the writing shaliach, built the profile in two layers. A raw layer, and a polished layer.

Four blind rounds:

In each round I got 10 texts, A to J. Real and fake, mixed together.

Round 1: I caught the fakes, and gave reasons.

Round 2: I thought one fake was mine. And I rejected formal emails I really had written.

So the profile was rebuilt around my warm, direct, informal style. The main anchor is old release notes of mine that I called “totally my language”.

Round 3: Fake H fooled me. And I rejected two real texts of mine.

Then it clicked. I write in a stream, with no punctuation. So the polished voice adds air, line breaks, punctuation and a period at the end of every sentence.

Round 4: I approved it.

It's all great and it's my language, but you have to add more air, line breaks, even double ones where needed, punctuation and a period at the end of a sentence.

הכל מעולה ובשפה אבל חייבים להוסיף שם יותר אוויר,שבירות שורות אפילו כפולות שצריך, פיסוק ונקודה בסוף משפט

Take my language and tone and just help with readability, higher than what comes out of me naturally.

לקחת את השפה שלי והטון ורק לעזור לקריאות יותר גובה מאשר שיוצא לי טבעי

OriginalMy approval in the final round: it’s all great and it’s my language, just add air, line breaks, punctuation and a period at the end of a sentence.Pinch, double-tap or scroll over the image to zoom. Drag to move.

What came out:

Profile v1.1, approved.

A shared rule: every shaliach that writes in my name writes in this voice.

And a reusable skill called “My Voice Builder”. Collect, build a profile, and blind-test until you can’t tell the difference.

What to take from this:

Test blind. Don’t ask “does it sound like me?” Only in blind rounds did I discover what I actually recognize as mine.

Self-image matters more than the archive. I rejected formal emails I wrote myself. So the profile was built on what I recognize as mine.

Readability before naturalness. My voice, with more air than comes out of me on my own.

P.S.

This post was written in my voice too.
