# A Linear brief before the weekly sync.

> A routine that writes a Hebrew brief from Linear every Monday at 10:00, and caught 7 stuck tasks on its very first run.

I wanted to stop everyone reporting out loud on what they're working on.

So I asked for a ready-made brief,
before our weekly sync on Monday at 10:30.

## The goal:

An automatic Hebrew brief from Linear, our task management tool.
Every Monday at 10:00.

Active work and updates from the week,
organized by person only.

## How it worked:

Basher, who runs my shluchim, prepared a sample for October 5, and I approved it.
(Shluchim, singular shaliach, is Hebrew for "emissaries". It's what I call my AI agents.)
That became a standing routine.

The first live run was on October 5, at around 10:03.
It pulled fresh data from Linear and wrote the file.

Separately, it flagged 7 tasks that had been moved to the archive,
but were still marked as active.
6 of them belong to the head of development and 1 to me, so I could confirm what was intended.

## What came out:

From a one-off sample to a standing habit.

And the very first run already sniffed out a real process problem.

## What to take from this:

**A sample before a routine.**
I approved the format once,
and since then it runs by itself every week.

**The brief replaces the verbal status report. The conversation stays.**
The sync can start from the state of things, not from the recap.

**Quality comes as a bonus.**
The same run that wrote the brief
also pointed out archived tasks marked as active.
Worth asking for "and flag anything off, too".
